Meet Mary...

To empower women entrepreneurs to re-define success for themselves and create the ‘lifestyle freedom’ for themselves, their loved ones and their business that encompasses their values, purpose an the things that light them up!

To free women entrepreneurs from outdated models of running a business & outdated roles of being a woman in todays society… to instigate a movement of women living a vibrant lifestyle alongside the success of their business.

To break the cycle of ‘Business Burnout’ that women in business experience (from trying to do it all themselves) and Regaining Balance to THRIVE in their personal life SO they can succeed even more in their business.

Exhausted by my To-Do list.... Working all-the-time... No time for Self or Family!
That was me just a few short years ago…
I began my professional career over 2 decades ago working in the Community Services Sector in not-for-profit organisations. Noticing the expectations of being over worked and under payed from ground level staff up to CEO’s, I was determined to make my way into the world ‘Working smarter, not harder’.
In 2013 when I started my business as a Holistic Counsellor & Energy Healer, working with professional women to create the fulfilling lives that they wanted to lead…
I discovered, firsthand, that working all the time and not taking care of yourself… led to a successful business, but… also created a broken damaged personal life where I had lost my health, my purpose & my passion for helping others.
In trying to do everything myself to build a business, I neglected my innermost needs (and my family & friends), and I ended up burning out so severely… that I had to close down my business for over a year having no income or financial security.
I was living on adrenaline, high anxiety, occasional panic attacks, constantly fearing financial doom, deeply feeling the pressures and stress of having to succeed.
Believing I needed to do it all myself in my business, it left little time for socialising or nurturing myself.
I was in constant physical, mental and emotional pain which I hid from the world – I pretended to be ok and that nothing bothered me… just like I had been role-modelled to do as a young girl.
During my recovery period, I realised that I had seen this before.
As a child I helplessly watched my parents run their business, not having time for themselves, spending little time at home and even less with us kids.
With my parents constantly working, it meant that I had to grow up fast, having too many responsibilities and becoming independent way too soon.
This sensitive, lonely, sometimes sad, little girl did her best to be amazing and manage it all, but it created a long-term unhealthy habit of being ‘fiercely independent’, too proud to ask for help, idealising the nobleness of ‘doing it all myself’.
I swore I’d never run my own business because of this experience in my formative years, and chose a career in Psychology & Community Services. Little did I know that I would end up running my own Counselling Practice, owning a business of my own!
So I found myself, recovered enough to get back to work, yet still terrified of repeating these unhealthy habits and also replicating my parents business habits (which they got from other business owners).
I couldn’t find anything out there that could help me, so I ended up working through my ill health and challenges on my own…
I learned a LOT about harnessing the Power of Balancing your inner-most needs with… your outer-most desires… to create a successful and sustainable life as a business woman & entrepreneur.
I soon realised that applying all of those things to regaining balance was the only way to succeed in business… and I ended up developing a unique approach to ensure that Burnout and the loss of personal lifestyle freedom as a female business owner never returns.
This approach put me back in control, and corrected the misguided belief that having more balance was something you needed to ‘create’ more time for.
Instead, I got time for myself, quality connected time with those I love & value, and a thriving personal life from where I can create long-lasting sustainable success by actually doing less.
My definition of success has been forever transformed by my personal experience (…& that of my parents).
Success, now means, having a business that not only provides financial security but creates a lifestyle where you get your needs met, where you have the time and ability (good health) to do the things that are most important to you and spend time with the people that you value the most.
And because I now know this to be true and possible, I am determined to help other women in business create this lifestyle for themselves, their family and their business.
